Human beings wanted to attain this seclusion and indifference but could not and only admired from afar.

When humans were present, they regarded Golems as their God. This leads to the Golem race staying secluded from others. And even though he studies and observes the deeds around him, he never participates in them wilfully. He does not interfere with the ways of those around him, thinking of them as the essential rule of nature. He is apathetic, having no desire for love, hate or perfection in this world. Starting with the most obvious and previously observed, the Golem is a symbol of what humans have wanted to attain since many civilisations. The characters in Somali and the forest spirit are like puzzle pieces- each one of them being important and slowly nearing us to the conclusion. It is not a spectacle and does not bear anything but the raw, unrefined feelings of a daughter and a father whose bond strengthens gradually without even them knowing it. Somali to Mori no Kamisama is the story about a journey- the journey of parenthood, how it is to be a parent and the happiness and also sadness that comes along with it.

Despite being cold to her at first, the Golem slowly starts adapting to the ways of Somali while mindfully watching and protecting her. Somali bears no knowledge of her birth parents and instead calls the Golem her father, who had found and saved her. In such a world where humans are still hunted down, a Golem- the spirit of the forest sets on a journey to find the parents of Somali who is human but has to disguise as a minotaur.
